Soy farming causes deforestation.

THE VEGAN HAS ENTERED THE CHAT.

Let’s follow where the soy actually goes.

Clearing forests for soy is a real problem. But here’s the plot twist: a lot of the world’s soy is fed to farm animals, not turned into tofu. So blaming the tofu block isn’t the full story. Instead of a scary headline, ask where a product’s soy was grown and what it was used for. Big food studies show diet changes and better farming can both cut environmental harm. They also show huge differences between farms. Where food comes from matters for both plant and animal products. This argument points at a real farming problem. It just doesn’t prove eating meat avoids it.

THE KEY DISTINCTION

Follow the whole supply chain, not just the tofu.
