We’re omnivores.

THE VEGAN HAS ENTERED THE CHAT.

“Can eat” and “must eat” are two different things.

Being an omnivore means you can eat lots of foods. It doesn’t mean you have to eat all of them. You can eat mushrooms too, and nobody calls skipping them a health crisis. What matters is getting the nutrients your body needs. Plants can cover protein. B12 needs real attention, through fortified foods or supplements. That isn’t denying biology. It’s just being specific about it. If a health condition makes a certain diet hard for you, that deserves an individual conversation with a professional. But the word “omnivore” alone can’t tell you what you should eat.

THE KEY DISTINCTION

Being able to eat something doesn’t mean you need to.
